Betty and Pui

Betty came to Sherry Bridal with a vision. She wanted a Japanese inspired wedding gown. The couple love everything Japanese, they even went all the way to Japan to have Pre-wedding photo session. That's where Betty looked everywhere for the perfect Japanese obi. She came back with two options. The pale purple is the perfect colour that Betty wanted, but since we fell in love with both of them, we decided to make 2 different sets of waistband-bustle to create 2 different looks, "Elegant" for down the aisle look and "Fun" for party time.

The A-Line Ivory Gown was structured to complement Betty's figure as well as acting as a blank canvas to show off the obi and bustle. Both looks are so pretty and captured beautifully by Society Photography.

I love the whole feel of the wedding, the venue, the colour scheme, the decor, the cake, the flowers, every little detail is saying "Summer wedding in beautiful Japan".

Betty's couture gown was a fun project. She was always full of energy everytime she came for fitting, making the whole process enjoyable and memorable.

Autumn and Ryan

The beautiful bride and groom wanted a relax wedding, an intimate party to celebrate their love for each other.

For the dress, Autumn opted for "Vintage" look, not too formal but still sexy without the va va voom. She chose a beautiful delicate piece of French cotton lace, which we draped over the bodice. Pretty lace edging frame her décolletage and accentuate the sexy low back. Gathered tulle on her shoulders and skirt soften the slim silhouette. The combination of Natural lace and tulle over the Latte silk satin work nicely with Autumn's skin colour. Lavender belt gave the overall look a cheeky twist and check out the gorgeous Purple heels. Sexy, Fun, Relax and Classic Timeless Vintage.

The Gaia Photography team captured the day really nicely. The Sephia tone blends all the colour and the mood perfectly.

Love Love Love...

Kristina and Shane

"Real Weddings" Magazine (issue 22) features "Kristina and Shane" Magnetic Island's wedding.

Kristina came from Townsville to Sydney in search for the perfect wedding gown, and she found "Juliette". It took 12 months to find and 5 months to make. "Big Commitment", as she said in the article. The couture gown is made out of Ivory embroidered tulle on Oyster Queen satin, layers of French tulle sculptured skirt, glittering Swarovski pearls, beads and diamantes, and to wrap it all up, gorgeous gross-grain ribbon fashioned into a detachable belt.

Sherry Bridal is very honoured to be part of Kristina and Shane's beautiful and perfect day. They have been together for more than 10 years (or 11 now), and we wish them many many many more years to come.

Sydney Wedding, Gown Magazine 2013

the Amaryliss

Hi all..

Here are some photos of "Sherry" Bridal Couture's spread in the latest Gowns Magazine. It's attached to Sydney Wedding magazine, but if don't live in NSW, you can buy the Gowns magazine on its own.

This is "Amaryllis" first photoshoot. The corset bodice is made out of unique and vintage Japanese fabric. It's unique because the embroidery look is actually tiny little knots, enhanced with lustrous shade of whites and silver threads. The skirt is layers of draped silk organza, giving the effect of movement and elegance. The back view is actually more dramatic then the front, so I must organise another photoshoot to show it off.

I was actually present at the article photoshoot and met all the lovely stylist, hair & make up artist and the beautiful  and friendly models. So to see the final artwork in glossy magazine feels like it was a great day's work.

Natasha and Rob

Tash and Rob tied the knot on a beautiful day, in Palm Beach, NSW. After a weak of heavy wind and rain, the sky open to a bright blue day and what turned out to be a perfect day.

Tash wore a gorgeous couture figure hugging lace dress but swishy and flared at the hem, and a matching personalised veil. I particularly love her detail sleeves and sexy low back.

Think of "The Hampton's", "Revenge", and "Carolyn Bessette Kennedy".
Tash exudes elegance and bubbly personality and the same time.

The groom shed a little tear watching Tash walked down the aisle, and Tash just can't wait to start their life together.

Oh, Tash and Rob get to re-live the wedding party, because they are having a second ceremony in The Netherlands, so she gets to wear the dress again. Now that's money well spend.
