Audrey and Chris Abhrams

My beautiful bride, Audrey. She always come to every fitting with high enthusiasm. Always full of laugh, excited in seeing the garment taking shape, but at the same time, having the eye for details, making sure every petals on her dress is placed at the right place.

Audrey's couture gown is inspired by this beautiful piece of lace, fully embellished with 3D flowers, ornate beadwork, petals, embroidery, sequins, pearls, everything, you name it, she's got it. The challenge is to edit the lace so it's not over powering Audrey's petite frame. To create drama, we have nude tulle across front neckline and high Illusion back cut from the lace. The result is Tattoo-like back, sweet and sexy.

To add more sparkles to the gown (not that it hasn't got enough), I add a layer of sequinned lace underneath the layer of Silk Organza. The result is undersated sparkles, very very very pretty. I can imagine it glistens everytime Audrey move, dance, walk. But this is not enough, I also add a layer of frill at the Center back of the dress to create fullness effect, and again, "drama". The challenge of making this dress is to balance the lace. There's so much going on with the dress that I have to use my editing eyes constantly.

It sounds like a marathon, because it really was one. Hours of painstakingly applique-ing, hand-stitching, pinning, but with every flower stitched on the dress, the prettier it becomes. It deserves Lights, Camera, Action !! It deserves to be in a show room, admired by many. Dan from Sutoritera photography really captured Audrey in the gown really well. She looks radiant, gorgeous, relaxed and very very happy.

Love the outdoor dance shoot, so beautiful, romantic and Oh so Dreamy!!!

To my gorgeous Audrey, and charming Chris, may you live happilly Ever After...

xoxo
Sherry
